About the Role
The Autonomous Haulage Operations Specialist will be based within our Integrated Operations Centre, playing a crucial role in achieving production targets by enabling the effective operation of our Front Runner Autonomous fleet management system.
This role requires strong leadership skills, with a focus on optimising the utilisation of the truck fleet while ensuring compliance to scheduling and operating philosophies. You will promote a culture that not only conforms to safety standards but also seeks to continuously improve operating efficiency and realise cost benefits.
You will work collaboratively with passionate and innovative people who drive change through technology transformation. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing site Safety Systems and their link to health and safety
- Ensuring efficient fleet management and maximising compliance to operational plans
- Promoting positive relationships through effective communication and consultation
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Identifying system and operational process improvements in the use of the fleet management system
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in Mine Control or Dispatch Operation, preferably with Modular DispatchTM or FrontrunnerTM systems
- Excellent time management, organisational and collaborative skills
- A high level of computer literacy and excellent verbal communication skills
- Able to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
BHP offers an attractive salary package, ranging between $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications. This includes performance-based bonuses and access to our employee share program. We also provide flexible working options, generous paid parental leave policy, other extended leave entitlements and parent rooms.
