About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to maintain and ensure the smooth operation of electrical systems at our Proserpine Mill facility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installation, calibration, and maintenance of electrical equipment, as well as examining, diagnosing, and modifying systems comprising inter-connected circuits.

Main duties include:

  • Installation, calibration, and maintenance of electrical equipment
  • Examining, diagnosing, and modifying systems comprising inter-connected circuits
  • Maintaining departmental plans, databases, and other documentation
  • Commissioning and tuning of electrical systems
  • Fault finding of complex electrical control systems involving pneumatic, electronic, microprocessor-based, and/or mechanical subsystems
  • Leading and participating in special projects as required

Essential Criteria:

  • A current Queensland Electrical Work Licence to perform work of Electrical Mechanic and Electrical Fitter/Instrumentation
  • Post-trade experience in heavy industry electrical or instrumentation installation, commissioning, and maintenance
  • A strong commitment to safety with involvement in safety/improvement teams
  • Current CPR and Low Voltage Rescue
