About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Training Instructor to join our team at BAE Systems Australia. As a Training Instructor, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality training to our Defence customers, focusing on Aircraft Life Support (ALS) and Core Aeroskills.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in aircraft maintenance and a proven track record of delivering training programs. You will be responsible for developing and delivering training content, facilitating training sessions, and providing guidance and mentorship to Defence trainees.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the development of the Defence aviation technical workforce. If you are a motivated and experienced training professional looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver training programs for Defence customers, focusing on ALS and Core Aeroskills
  • Facilitate training sessions and provide guidance and mentorship to Defence trainees
  • Maintain and service ALS equipment
  • Provide specialisation skills and advice to support Aviation Technical Training
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, government, and industry partners
  • Maintain accurate electronic and hard copy records of training documentation
  • Guide and mentor Defence trainees in best practice within the aviation environment
About You
  • A current Certificate III in Aircraft Life Support and Furnishing or a Certificate IV in Aeronautical Life Support Equipment
  • Demonstrated industry experience as a qualified Aviation Maintenance Engineer, preferably with extensive experience within the Defence Aviation Safety Environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Whilst not essential, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or technical training instructor experience, will be highly regarded
