About the Role

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Solution Architect to join our team at Albury Wodonga Health. As a key member of our IT leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the development of architectures for complex systems, ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed with both external and internal customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement architectures for complex systems, ensuring consistency with specified requirements.
  • Lead the development of architectures for complex systems, ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed with both external and internal customers.
  • Establish the governance, framework, policy, and strategy for the selection of systems architecture components.
  • Coordinate design activities, promoting the discipline to ensure consistency.
  • Ensure that design solutions are appropriately documented and meet any legislative requirements.
  • Provide education, information sharing, and ensure that appropriate corporate, industry, national, and international standards are adhered to.
  • Manage the target design, policies, and standards, working proactively to maintain a stable, viable architecture and ensure consistency of design across projects within the program.
  • Provide an opinion, relating to compliance or otherwise, to the IT Architectural Review Board chaired by the CIO.
  • Make day-to-day decisions in relation to the IT architectural approval of projects.
  • Provide advice to the CIO on the governance, strategy, systems, and governance.
  • Undertake the management and supervision of staff, vendors, and contractors to meet the IT Enterprise Architectural standards on an as-needs basis.
  • Engage with other staff and provide advice as requested, and their level of work is appropriate to provide successful outcomes for the Architecture function.

Requirements

  • Experience in developing and implementing architectures for complex systems.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Experience in managing and supervising staff, vendors, and contractors.
  • Strong knowledge of IT Enterprise Architectural standards.
