Food Services Leadership Opportunity

Bolton Clarke is one of Australia's largest independent, not-for-profit providers of home care, retirement living, and residential aged care. We are currently seeking a talented Food Services Leader to join our team as a full-time Chef Manager.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the food services team to ensure safe, high-quality food service and an excellent customer experience.

This includes producing high-quality, nutritious, and well-presented meals, maintaining correct food handling techniques, preparing specialised meals per resident care plans, leading and supervising the food services team daily, communicating regularly with residents and families, and managing ordering, delivery, and stock control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Management: Support and manage the food services team to achieve exceptional results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Culinary Excellence: Produce high-quality, nutritious, and visually appealing meals that meet the diverse needs of our residents.
  • Safety and Quality: Maintain strict food safety standards and ensure that all food is handled, prepared, and presented according to best practices.
  • Leadership: Lead and motivate the food services team to achieve outstanding results and improve overall performance.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with residents, families, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of food services.
Requirements:
  • Certification: Certificate IV in commercial cookery or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Food Safety: Possess a valid Food Safety Supervisor certificate.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, residents, and families.
  • Leadership: Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a high-performing team, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Staff Motivation: Proven ability to motivate and inspire staff to achieve exceptional results and enhance team performance.
  • Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
