About the Role
This is a permanent full-time position based in Melbourne, Australia, as part of our Survey team. You will report directly to the Melbourne Survey Manager.
The successful candidate will perform and manage survey projects, assist with resource allocation, engage directly with clients, and ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety procedures.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Woolpert Survey Manager in allocating resources for major projects.
- Perform various types of surveying tasks in both field and office settings.
- Utilize advanced plan and data interpretation skills to compute survey data and provide insights for project decisions.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients to win work and ensure satisfaction.
- Lead and mentor junior staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development aligned with company goals.
- Maintain awareness of industry advancements and technologies through seminars and professional development.
About You
You have experience in the Survey/Geospatial industry, with a strong understanding of surveying principles and a passion for developing client solutions that deliver value for both clients and Woolpert.
You are a creative thinker who draws on our suite of offerings to design innovative solutions to client problems.
Key skills include:
- Experience using CAD software, including AutoCAD, and survey software systems.
- A comprehensive understanding of best practice survey techniques and competence in using survey equipment and software systems.
- Possession of a University degree or Diploma in a relevant discipline.
- At least 5 years' practical experience in infrastructure, construction, or engineering.
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency in presenting topographical survey data or other spatially related disciplines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and clients.
- Strong commercial acumen, including negotiation and selling skills.

This role offers an attractive salary range of AU$90,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
