About the Role:

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Network Engineer to join our team at Commonwealth Bank. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll play a critical role in designing, building, and running our network infrastructure, ensuring it's scalable, secure, and meets the evolving needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network architectures that support our business growth and innovation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems and services
  • Develop and maintain high-quality network infrastructure, including data centre networks and DWDM underlay
  • Implement automation tools and frameworks to improve network efficiency and reliability
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong understanding of routing protocols, including BGP and OSPF
  • Experience working with data centre networks and DWDM underlay
  • Proficiency in Python and automation tools
  • Solid understanding of AWS cloud frameworks
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
