As the Inventory Management Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of inventory-related processes. You will collaborate with various departments to coordinate stock movements, conduct regular stock reconciliations, and analyze cost data to optimize pricing and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using the company's inventory management system.
  • Coordinate stock movements, including receiving, storage, and dispatch, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Conduct regular stock reconciliations to identify and resolve any discrepancies or variances.
  • Analyze cost data, including product costs, freight costs, and landed costs, to determine accurate inventory valuations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase orders to replenish stock as needed.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely cost allocation and cost reporting.
  • Develop and maintain inventory control procedures to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and coordinate annual physical inventory counts.
  • Generate reports and provide analysis on inventory levels, costing, and related financial metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in inventory management or costing roles, preferably within a wholesale or distribution environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in analyzing cost data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform accurate data entry and calculations.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of inventory control best practices and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
