Occupational Therapy Lecturer Opportunity

Curtin University is seeking an exceptional academic to join our team as an Occupational Therapy Lecturer. As a member of our faculty, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality instruction and fostering student learning through diverse teaching methods.

About the Role

This 0.5 FTE continuing opportunity requires the successful applicant to deliver instruction across undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate levels. You will engage in continuous improvement, mark assessments, contribute to curriculum development, and coordinate units. Additionally, you will supervise honours and postgraduate students and manage associated administrative functions.

Research Expectations

The ideal candidate will have a strong research background, with a focus on engaging in high-quality, nationally competitive research. They will develop a coherent research program, participate in funding applications, disseminate findings, and supervise research students.

Service and Leadership

We are looking for someone who can contribute to academic service by fostering collegiality and engagement, efficiently managing internal service roles, and participating in external activities relevant to the discipline. The successful applicant will also mentor less experienced staff to support their professional development.

Selection Criteria
  • A doctoral qualification in a relevant field or equivalent accreditation

  • An emerging record of contribution to scholarship in teaching
  • Demonstrated experience in unit coordination
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact with students and staff with cross-cultural sensitivity
