Job DescriptionAs a Catering Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to prepare and serve delicious meals to our residents. This includes:
- Assisting with meal preparation, including food planning, purchasing, and inventory management
- Providing a quality dining service, including serving meals and cleaning up after service
- Assisting residents as required, including helping them with their meals and providing support with daily living tasks
In addition to your culinary skills, we also look for candidates who possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with our residents, families, and other team members to ensure that our dining services are tailored to meet their individual needs.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent qualification
- Experience working in a similar role, preferably in an aged care or healthcare setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and move heavy objects, as well as stand for long periods of time
