**Combat Systems Integration Expert Role Overview:**

This role involves providing high-level engineering technical competence to support the integration of combat systems.

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of robust systems engineering processes and have experience in completing design activities for naval ship systems.

  • Responsibilities include undertaking technical investigations, root cause analysis, and solution identification.
  • Platform integration of combat systems will also be a key responsibility, considering whole-of-ship and compartment integration, cabling, HVAC, electrical, weight, etc.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics)
  • Proven skills and experience in a related engineering function
  • Experience in a technical and industrial Defence environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of relevant combat system and communications systems and technology
  • Project Management skills, including task schedule management, resourcing, budget, progress monitoring, and reporting
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening, and decision-making skills
  • Able to deliver results in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to manage, prioritise, and complete multiple tasks concurrently
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
