New renewable generation is being built across the eastern seaboard and will connect to the grid to get that electricity to market. Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Planner to oversee works being undertaken by the appointed Joint Venture Contractors across all major projects. The role reports to the Environmental Planning Manager and collaborates closely with environmental team members across delivery, other major projects and the Land, Property and Approvals business unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and prepare complex environmental impact assessments.
- Collaborate with environmental team members to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Develop and implement environmental management plans.
- Manage contracted environmental specialist services.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including government agencies and community groups.
- Self-manage, work under pressure and work in a team environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years experience in environmental planning and management.
- Tertiary qualification at degree level in an environmental planning/science/management related discipline.
- Good understanding and demonstrated experience in the use of geographic information systems related to environmental planning and management.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- A current driver's licence.
