About the Role

Ramboll is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our team in Perth, Australia. As a key member of our APAC Finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations across Australia and eventually covering the rest of APAC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other financial reports.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Shared Service Centre in India, maintaining regular dialogue, finding opportunities for improvement, and managing the performance of relevant teams through feedback and analysis of processes.
  • Engage with key functions in Ramboll, including Group Treasury, Group Tax, transformation team, Group Audit, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with internal Group policies relating to finance functions in Australia/APAC.
  • Participate in global meetings and discussion forums, and in global finance projects to represent Australia/APAC.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and AASB and other relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Oversee and manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
  • Be responsible for the monthly and yearly closure of books of accounts as per Group calendar and deadlines.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic planning.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Prepare and submit all required tax filings and ensure compliance with all tax laws.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as banks, auditors, and tax authorities.
  • Perform high-level checking of final Payroll prepared by HR to ensure four-eye principles.
  • Perform other accounting duties as requested.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or other relevant certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian financial regulations and standards.
  • Experience working in a Finance team with global/regional responsibilities.
  • Experience collaborating with Shared Service centres in previous roles.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other departments.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant financial software applications.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
