Culinary Professional - Menu Planner and Kitchen Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Culinary Professional to plan and prepare nutritious meals for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years old.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement interesting and exciting menus for children, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
  • Prepare a wide variety of nutritious meals and purees, including those required for babies and children with special needs.
  • Manage the kitchen autonomously, ensuring effective stock rotation, budgeting, and shopping for ingredients.
  • Maintain the highest level of food safety and supervision in accordance with Food Safety regulations and standards.
  • Mentor and guide a kitchen hand in a professional environment to deliver high-quality food and service.
  • Collaborate with Educators to provide culinary classes for young learners.
Ideal Qualifications:
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
  • Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (willingness to obtain upon commencement).
  • Current State Working with Children Check (willingness to obtain).
  • Current Child Protection Training (willingness to obtain).
  • Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR, and First Aid Certificates (willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
