Clinical Systems Manager

This role oversees the key clinical and business systems supporting medical and radiology operations, managing a small team.

  • Act as technology lead, driving system optimisation, managing vendor relationships, and aligning IT with clinicians and business leaders.
  • Guide a small team in maintaining secure and efficient system connections across HL7, DICOM, FHIR, and APIs.
  • Take ownership of RIS, PACS, and other clinical platforms throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise leadership on emerging tools, AI applications, and best practices in clinical IT.
  • Manage contracts, service delivery, and performance of technology vendors.
  • Collaborate with clinicians and operational teams to ensure systems support patient safety and organisational needs.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing healthcare or radiology applications.
  • Knowledge of RIS, PACS, HL7, DICOM, FHIR, and API integration frameworks.
  • Experience with system integrations.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience is not essential; a strong consultant can grow into this role.
  • Ability to influence and engage with senior stakeholders across technical, clinical, and business areas.
