This is a position for an Accounting Professional

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Finance Officer (Operational Accounting). This role will be responsible for performing a range of operational accounting activities to support the delivery of accurate and efficient accounting operations.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting, commerce, or financial management, with at least five years' experience in a relevant accounting role. They will also possess excellent attention to detail, accuracy and good record keeping skills, as well as demonstrated experience in doing and/or reviewing balance sheets, assessing financial data and other accounting reconciliations.

The role will involve assisting with continuous improvement of processes and documentation, providing reports and financial process/policy advice to stakeholders, and demonstrating a high level of organisational skills, including the capability to set priorities and work to deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A current/valid Australian Driver's Licence.
  • A cleared National Police Check, or ability to obtain if the successful candidate.
  • Requirement to travel between locations (as required).

In addition, the successful candidate will hold a relevant qualification, or equivalent experience in accounting, commerce, or financial management, and demonstrate knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
