Job Title: Specialist in Laboratory Haematology and Clinical Haematology
Overview:
- This is a specialist role that requires high-quality diagnostic, consultative, procedural, and on-call services in laboratory haematology and clinical haematology.
- The Specialist will participate in teaching, research, quality improvement, and administrative activities commensurate with the Staff Specialists (State) Award.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care by providing accurate and timely diagnostic, consultative, and procedural services in laboratory haematology and clinical haematology.
- Participate in education, research, quality improvement, and administrative activities to enhance professional performance and encourage an academic environment that supports research and development.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Current registration or eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in Laboratory Haematology and fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Clinical Haematology, and/or other specialist recognition as provided under the Staff Specialists (State) Award.
- Demonstrated commitment to basic, applied, or clinical research and/or medical education and staff training.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
