About the Role

Golf Recruitment Central is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Golf Operations Manager to join our team at Goulburn Golf Club. As a Golf Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the golf course, ensuring that all aspects of the facility are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Revenue Management: Collect and manage green fees, cart hire fees, and food and beverage revenue to optimize financial performance.
  • Club Competitions: Administer and coordinate club competitions, utilizing Mi Club software to ensure seamless execution.
  • Golf Etiquette and Rules: Educate and enforce golf etiquette and rules to enhance the member experience.
  • Cart Fleet Management: Maintain and manage a fleet of 20 golf carts, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Competition Coordination: Start and coordinate competition fields five days a week, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for members.
  • Junior Golf Development: Develop and coordinate junior golf programs at the golf club and within the surrounding region.
  • Tuition and Coaching: Provide tuition for club members, representative squads, and juniors, promoting golf development and growth.
  • Equipment and Supplies Management: Manage range and stock levels of equipment, accessories, and clothing supplies for club members and visitors.
  • Club Promotion: Assist in promoting the club and its facilities to attract new members and visitors.
  • Committee Support: Attend match and greens committee meetings, providing support and guidance to ensure the success of the club.
  • Media Liaison: Liaise with local media to promote golf in the region and provide regular updates for the club's website.
Requirements
  • PGA Membership: Must be a PGA Member, ideally with a Certified status under the PGA's ACE Program.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Possess good leadership skills, be well-presented, honest, and reliable, with excellent communication skills.
  • Work Ethic and Adaptability: Demonstrate a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, and willing to learn and adapt to new situations.
What We Offer

The successful candidate will be employed as an employee of Golf Recruitment Central, reporting directly to the Club Manager. The role will include working Saturdays and some Sundays, with additional income potential through coaching lessons outside of work hours. A competitive package and commission-based structures will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
