About the Position:
The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating, supervising and managing trades personnel to provide high-quality support services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the supervision and management of trades personnel including plumbers, painters, specialized flooring and general construction contractors.
- Ensure buildings and grounds preventive and corrective maintenance work is performed.
- Manage computerized maintenance management systems ensuring preventive maintenance schedules are kept up to date.
- Coordinate, supervise and manage day-to-day activities of contractors instructing them to complete PM scheduled work, corrective maintenance work and attend to urgent maintenance requirements.
- Verify and approve contractor's invoices for work performed.
- Provide technical advice about cleaning, buildings and grounds to maintenance engineering staff and contractors.
- Work closely with manufacturing staff, maintenance engineers, operations group, quality and validation groups particularly with regards to work planning.
Requirements:
- Tertiary degree in an engineering discipline or trade background with sub-professional qualifications.
- Experience in facilities maintenance or maintenance of buildings and grounds.
- Awareness of quality and hygiene requirements applying in the pharmaceutical industry as reflected in the code of Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).
- Solid knowledge of management as applied to site facility maintenance and service contracts.
- Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems.
