Tailings Engineering Lead

The Tailings Engineering Lead role requires a high level of technical expertise and strategic oversight for the operation and construction of Tailings Storage Facilities (TSFs).
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and technical guidance across tailings engineering, construction, and surveillance activities.
- Develop and implement construction scopes, engineering designs, and execution plans in line with industry best practices.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure design intent is achieved and that TSF performance is optimized.
- Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to monitor TSF performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement QA/QC procedures and ensure construction is executed to design specifications.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and geotechnical standards and procedures.
- Support the development and mentoring of junior engineers.
You must be a highly experienced professional who holds the following qualifications and skills:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Mining Engineering.
- Experience in mining planning software.
- Wide range of experience in technical and engineering aspects of mine design and operation.
- Strong leadership, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
