Heavy Container Forklift Operator Job

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Container Forklift Operator to join our team on a permanent basis. As an integral part of our high-capacity warehouse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient handling of containers and the safe movement of goods.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • - Collaborate closely with warehouse managers and schedulers to facilitate timely loading and unloading of trucks.
  • - Safely operate equipment, adhering to all safety requirements and prioritizing the safety of yourself and others.
  • - Utilize the Warehouse Management System to effectively allocate containers to specific locations and execute loading and unloading tasks.
  • - Maintain seamless communication with staff to ensure smooth operations and safe movement of containers.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • - Hold a valid High Risk Forklift Operator's certification.
  • - Possess extensive experience as a qualified Forklift Operator, specializing in container fork operations within a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • - Any exposure to handling and stacking Shipping or Rail containers would be highly advantageous.
  • - Demonstrate a commitment to safety and exhibit safe work practices.
  • - Showcase excellent communication skills and the ability to function effectively within a team.
  • - Possess a positive attitude, approachable demeanor, and proactive approach to continuous improvement.
