Project Manager Role Overview

The Project Manager will lead and manage the development, implementation, and evaluation of a project within the Health Contact Centre. This is an opportunity to manage a discrete project across domains including service planning, information communication technology solutions, and organisational change.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure effective delivery of the project by managing scope, time, cost, procurement, quality, risk, human resource, and communication management in line with endorsed project management frameworks.
2. Manage project resources, expenses, and capital costs against the project forecasts and report on all project elements as required.
3. Provide leadership and direction to a small team of project resources, including prioritisation of work deliverables, allocation of work program, and project management tasks, and monitoring.
4. Develop staff capability by mentoring multi-disciplinary project teams as required.
5. Enable informed decision making on project issues by developing timely and relevant written submissions, briefs, presentations, and information papers for stakeholders.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Excellent leadership and people management capability with the proven ability to lead a team of project management resources in delivery of a key project.
  • High level of project management skills, including the design of large-scale and complex projects with the ability to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Ability to enable informed decision making on project requirements and issues by developing timely and relevant written submissions, briefs, presentations, and information papers for stakeholders.
  • High level analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement solutions to complex issues within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Ability to use effective interpersonal, negotiation, consultation, and communication skills appropriate to all stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction, work in a team environment, and develop effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • High level knowledge and application of project and change management framework and methodologies.
