Staff Development Specialist

We are seeking an experienced staff development specialist to join our team at a leading aged care provider. The successful candidate will design, deliver and evaluate tailored education activities that address the specific learning and development needs of staff.

The Staff Development Specialist will actively contribute to enhancing staff capability related to the aged care quality standards, fostering continuous improvement.

">

  • Providing high-quality education and assessment to meet aged care/home care core education needs and local service requirements.">
  • Contribute to the development & ongoing continuous improvement of education and assessment resources consistent with education strategies and procedures and education package requirements">
  • Deliver, assess and record education activities inclusive of; induction, local orientation, core competency assessments and other topics as allocated.">
  • Maintain and manage education records to ensure their accuracy and integrity.">

Key Responsibilities

  1. ">
  2. Design and deliver education programs for staff across various departments.">
  3. Evaluate the effectiveness of existing education programs and recommend improvements.">
  4. Develop and maintain education resources, including training manuals, guides and online modules.">
  5. Collaborate with department heads to identify areas for education program development.">
  6. Provide coaching and mentoring to staff on adult learning principles and effective communication skills.">

Requirements

">

For this role, you will need:

">

– A qualification in Training and Assessment (Certificate IV or equivalent) or willing to work towards

">

– Experience working in residential aged care/home care

">

– Demonstrated high level interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

">

– Understanding of the principles of adult learning, access and equity, Workplace Health and Safety, legal and ethical practice
