Job Title: Health, Safety and Environment Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety and Environment Officer to join our team.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking research, development and implementation of policy and practices related to workplace health and safety.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Undertake a restructure of the WHS Management System framework and associated documents to ensure compliance with ISO 45001 requirements.
  • Develop key WHS projects, including planning and undertaking a review of the WHS reporting to improve the presentation of information to management and the HSEC.
  • Work with business stakeholders to undertake a formal assessment of Agency's psychosocial risk profile.
  • Develop a Mental Health and Wellbeing Plan that incorporates psychosocial hazards, mental health and wellbeing.
  • Review and update Agency's Designated Workgroups to ensure appropriate representation on the HSEC.
  • Prepare a statement of requirements for an approach to market for a supplier of personal protective equipment to the Agency.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of WHS legislation and regulations.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
