
TAFE Governance Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Governance Officer to join our team. As a key member of the Academic Quality and Standards Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Coordinator Governance in course governance processes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that training products are registered internally and externally following governance and quality procedures. This includes working with university systems and contributing to the review and improvement of those systems.
You will liaise with internal stakeholders and contribute your expertise to support Victoria University TAFE. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to improving the outcomes and experience of TAFE students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain currency with updates and new releases of training packages and other VET training products
- Provide executive administrative support to Victoria University TAFE course governance committees, and act as a contact point for the Courses Committee of the Academic Board
- Provide factual and accurate information to internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
- A deep commitment to improving the outcomes and experience of TAFE students
- Ability to research and present information to assist with decision making
- A working knowledge of compliance and quality obligations in the VET/TAFE space
- A capacity to innovate and to make a difference, and to enjoy problem solving
- Contribute to building the capabilities of others through authentic engagement
- Utilise both interpersonal skills and systems-based solutions for continuous improvement
