Electrical Tradesperson

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Tradesperson to join our team at Wilmar Sugar, a leading manufacturer of sugar, ethanol, and renewable electricity. This is a permanent role, where the successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems.

1. Installation, calibration, and maintenance of electrical equipment, including heavy industry electrical and instrumentation systems.
2. Examination, diagnosis, and modification of systems comprising inter-connected circuits.
3. Maintenance of departmental plans, databases, and other documentation.
4. Commissioning and tuning of electrical systems, including LV motor control and VVVF drives.
5. Fault finding on complex electrical control systems involving a combination of pneumatic, electronic, microprocessor-based, and/or mechanical subsystems.
6. Participation in special projects as required.

1. A current Queensland Electrical Work Licence to perform work of Electrical Mechanic and Electrical Fitter/Instrumentation.
2. Post-trade experience in heavy industry electrical or instrumentation installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
3. A strong commitment to safety, with involvement in safety/improvement teams.
4. Current CPR and Low Voltage Rescue certification.

1. A Certificate 3 or 4 in Instrumentation.
2. Fixed plant maintenance and automated machinery expertise.
3. Knowledge of Schneider PLC's control system with Citect HMI.
4. Ability to interpret various electrical, pneumatic, and P&ID drawings.
5. Development with computer literacy, including Microsoft and SAP work management system.
