Job Opportunity

The role involves contributing to the operation of a processing plant, working as a technician in various departments, and developing an understanding of metallurgical accounting procedures. Key responsibilities include gaining exposure to laboratory operations, assisting with plant surveys and improvement projects, and maintaining optimum output for the processing plant.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Recognised tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Developing understanding of statutory requirements of Western Australian Mining Act and Regulations, and Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Vacation work experience within the Mining industry, ideally within Gold Mining, is highly regarded.
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office Suite.
  • Current WA Driver's License (manual C Class).
  • Current or willingness to obtain qualifications in confined space entry, gas testing, and working at heights.

Training, Development & Rotations:

A structured learning program with guidance from an experienced Metallurgy Team will be provided, including completion of Learning Objectives set out by the Development Program for metallurgists.
