Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Aged Care Nurse to join our team on a permanent night shift basis at Care Centre. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of elderly residents, ensuring their care and comfort during nighttime hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and case management, focusing on holistic care that enhances both physical and mental well-being while ensuring safety.
- Work closely with the Facility Manager and Clinical Nurse Specialist to deliver a service that truly revolves around the needs of each individual.
- Promote independence, wellness, and lifestyle choices within a Consumer Directed Care (CDC) setting.
- Apply clinical skills and evidence-based practices to ensure the highest quality of care.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months experience working as an RN in an aged care facility in Australia.
- Full unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Familiarity with the Aged Care Act 1997.
- Commitment to Quality and Aged Care Standards.
- Understanding of Aged Care Funding.
- Experience with or willingness to work with residents with dementia.
- Compliance with National Accreditation standards, including at least 20 CPD hours per year.
