About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team at Australia Post. As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a van to deliver mail and parcels to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Mail and Parcels: Safely operate a van to deliver mail and parcels to our customers, including picking up mail from Street Posting Boxes, Corporate Offices, Licensed Post Offices, and Delivery Centres.
  • Unload Mail Articles: Unload mail articles from vans and manually sort them into small or large letters and parcels, including express posts.
  • Perform Daily Vehicle Safety Check: Complete your own daily vehicle safety check to ensure the van is in good working condition.
  • Work with Senior Drivers: Be paired up with our experienced senior drivers, who are committed to engaging and taking part in your professional development.
Requirements
  • Driver's Licence: Hold a full or probationary QLD driver's licence.
  • Driving Experience: Have experience driving a van or larger vehicle (all our vans are automatic).
  • Assessment: Successfully pass our mandatory and practical driving assessment.
  • Flexibility: Be flexible with working additional hours if required.
  • Physical Abilities: Have a great memory, excellent attention to detail, and be able to lift up to 16kgs of mail and parcels regularly.
  • Weight Limit: Meet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or less.
