About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Aged Care Support Worker to join our team at CraigCare Group's Ascot Waters Home. As a valued member of our team, you will work under the guidance of our Registered Nurses to provide high-quality care and support to our residents.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting residents with their daily living activities, promoting their independence, and enhancing their overall quality of life. You will be part of an integrated team of professionals working together to deliver exceptional care and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support residents in maintaining their independence and autonomy.
  • Assist with personal care and hygiene needs while encouraging residents to take an active role in their own care.
  • Implement clinical and care interventions delegated by Registered Nurses, as documented in resident care plans.
  • Prioritize workload effectively to ensure timely delivery of care services.
  • Demonstrate kindness, patience, and respect for residents' individual needs, privacy, dignity, choice, and self-esteem.
Essential Requirements
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards, Aged Care Act, and Quality of Care Principles.
  • Reliability to work a roster with set shifts and basic computer skills.
  • Working knowledge of WH&S and infection control.
  • Certificate III in Aged Care / Individual Support (or currently working towards).
  • Previous experience in the aged care sector is preferred but not essential.
  • A current NDIS clearance, proof of Rights to Work, and a current immunisation certificate (including influenza and vaccination against COVID-19) are required.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, plus generous benefits including flexible rosters, free parking, wellness programs, and discounts on major retail, hospitality, and health outlets.
