This is a fantastic chance for a Senior Financial Analyst to take on new challenges. The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of accounting and reporting deliverables, including financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

About the Role
  • Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for preparing month-end reports on key metrics and delivering them to stakeholders, as well as monitoring people costs and conducting in-depth financial analysis.
  • You will prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts, working collaboratively with department heads to ensure accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation within financial processes and systems, driving efficiency and effectiveness across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Business Partnering: Support financial analysis and decision making
  • Management Reporting & Financial Analysis: Preparation of month-end reports on key metrics and delivery to key stakeholders, monitoring of people costs and conduct in-depth financial analysis, including but not limited to, financial modelling, variance analysis, and trend forecasting to support decision-making processes.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, working collaboratively with department heads to ensure accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation within financial processes and systems, driving efficiency and effectiveness across the organisation.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations for action.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and accounting standards, maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation, fostering collaboration and communication to achieve shared financial objectives.
Requirements
  • The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in financial analysis or related roles, preferably within the energy industry or a similar sector.
  • A strong command of SAP Finance systems is essential, along with demonstrated proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools, and advanced-level skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • You will hold a bachelor's level qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline, supported by a recognised professional certification such as ICAA, CPA, or equivalent.
