About Our School

ACC Marsden Park is a K-12 co-educational Christian school located in Sydney's North West corridor. We currently have over 1300 on-campus students and over 700 students learning via our Distance Education program. We are actively growing with a strategic plan for our future.

About Our Teaching Approach

We use three signature pedagogies: Explicit Direct Instruction, Specific Targeted Feedback, and Thinking Through Writing. These approaches develop deep learning and are informed by Cognitive Load Theory. Our teaching methods have been influenced by Hollingsworth and Ybarra, Lemov, Hochman and Wexler, and Michaela Community School in London.

Our staff are supported by an in-house coaching team and participate in open professional learning where they learn with and from each other. We invest in technology to support effective learning.

  • Plan and deliver effective learning programs for allocated classes.
  • Contribute to school objectives and planning.
  • Maintain student records and report on performance.
  • Support students through various settings and develop supportive learning environments.
  • Assess students for developmental, feedback and reporting purposes.
  • Participate in curriculum development and evaluation.
  • Participate in professional development.

About You

  • Have an active Christian faith.
  • Hold suitable qualifications and NESA accreditation.
  • Demonstrate capacity to improve student learning outcomes.
  • Display excellent teaching skills as described by the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
  • Be able to receive feedback and implement changes.
  • Hold a current Employee Working With Children Check.
