Game Development Tools Specialist

 

The role of a Game Development Tools Specialist is to design, develop and maintain software tools that enhance the game development pipeline. This involves leveraging various programming languages and technologies to build robust, scalable and versatile tools.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain software tools and features to streamline the content creation process.
  • Leverage various programming languages and technologies to build robust, scalable and versatile tools.
  • Collaborate closely with game developers and artists to ensure tools integrate seamlessly with their processes.
  • Debug, optimize and refactor existing tools to ensure peak performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user-reported issues.
  • Provide technical support, documentation and training to stakeholders and internal teams.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in writing C++ and/or C# code with a good understanding of modern OOP methodologies.
  • Solid knowledge of software engineering best practices, including version control, testing and continuous integration.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality tools.
