Supply Chain Specialist

A pivotal role exists for a Supply Chain Specialist to guarantee the seamless and efficient supply and distribution of aluminium extrusions and components.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough cost-benefit analyses on various scenarios and provide recommendations to enhance efficiency and profitability.
  • Analyse existing supply routes, supply chain settings, and stocking locations to offer cost-effective solutions that cater to the evolving needs of the business.
  • Undertake root cause analysis of stock outs and first-pass hit rate failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Effectively manage new product introduction projects, including the run-out of superseded inventory; introduction of new products at the appropriate time to ensure low levels of product obsolescence and continuing high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • IDentify products to be ordered from overseas suppliers, taking into account constraints including stock turns and containerisation.
  • Coordinate reviews of slow-moving and obsolete stock and implement agreed actions.
  • Analyse, modify, and maintain forecasts in line with feedback from sales.
  • Making informed decisions regarding inventory and supply management.
  • Taking full accountability for personal safety and well-being, developing an understanding of risk minimisation, and being committed to achieving the highest possible standards for Safety, Health, and the Environment (SH&E).

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in accounting, economics, statistics, data analysis, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in analysing large data sets and ability to interpret data, make, and implement recommendations.
  • Advanced level of computer skills (Excel, database management, Power BI).
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and time management skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience within a similar role/industry.
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
