About the Role

UGL is seeking an experienced Transmission Linesman to join our Utilities division, supporting our Genex Project in North Queensland. The successful candidate will be based on a FIFO 19/9 Roster.

Key Responsibilities

  • Climbing of transmission structures to perform maintenance and upgrades
  • Construction and upgrade of new and existing electrical assets
  • Study and interpretation of technical drawings, network line diagrams, and maps
  • Liaison with Network Operator Inspectors and customers to ensure seamless operations
  • Comprehensive risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment
  • Maintenance of work in progress plans to meet project deadlines
  • Installation and maintenance of conductors, aerial equipment, and underground cables
  • Installation and maintenance of all associated electrical supply equipment
  • Response to electrical breakdowns and emergencies
  • Adherence to site-specific health and safety policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Experience working on transmission lines
  • Trade Certificate (Certificate 3 Transmission Linesman) - Desirable
  • Construction White Card
  • Work at Heights
  • Tower Rescue
  • EWP
  • Dogging and Rigging licence
  • High risk work licence
  • First Aid and CPR Trained (Desirable)
