Senior School Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior School Manager to join our team at DFP Recruitment Services. This is a key leadership role that requires a strategic thinker with a passion for education and a drive to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide senior-level strategic advice and executive support to the Executive Dean and the School's Leadership Team. Contribute to the development, monitoring, and execution of the School's Operational Plan, ensuring alignment with long-term sustainability goals.
  • Team Development: Foster a collaborative and positive work environment by applying inspirational leadership to motivate and enable team members to thrive and perform at a high level.
  • Project Management: Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of strategic projects and programs that underpin the School's Operational Plan. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, driving operational efficiency's and sustainable growth.
  • Strategic Advice: Provide high-level strategic, commercial, and policy advice to the Executive Dean and other senior staff. Keep the School at the forefront of best practices and trends in the education sector.
  • External Relations: Build and sustain collaborative relationships at a senior executive level across the education sector and industry. Represent the School on external industry committees and working parties, ensuring the School's perspective is recognised and considered.
  • Communication and Reporting: Research, develop, and manage the drafting of key reports, tenders, MOUs, grant applications, presentations, and executive briefings. Ensure all communications are clear, concise, and aligned with the School's objectives.
  • Leadership and Coaching: Lead and coach direct reports, building capability and a culture focused on continuous improvement. Drive strategies that lead to positive business and financial outcomes.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with policies and practices

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and sector or equivalent expertise gained from significant experience, training, or professional accreditation, with a focus on business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with executive-level staff and stakeholders, including on sensitive matters. Strong grasp of strategic government policy and excellent business acumen
  • Inspirational Leadership and proven track record in motivating teams to achieve high performance and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain formal and informal networks and business relationships critical to achieving job objectives.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present evidence-based information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to anticipate and resolve problems creatively and efficiently, with a focus on timely decision-making.
