System Engineer Job

We are seeking an experienced System Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating technical risks to projects using proven Systems Engineering and Assurance approaches throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering and safety assurance, with experience working on nationally significant Defence projects. You will also have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

This is a full-time position, based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including flexible working hours and career development opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Australian Citizenship and/or eligibility to obtain an Australian Defence security clearance
  • Bachelor of Engineering / Science Degree
  • Experience within regulated industries / frameworks (e.g. Defence, transport, nuclear, energy, pharmaceuticals)
  • Systems engineering knowledge and experience
  • System safety and assurance experience
  • Professional body membership (e.g. Engineers Australia, INCOSE / SESA)
  • Experienced in the application of systems engineering tools (e.g. DOORS, MBSE tools)
