A significant brownfield CAPEX engineering & construction project incorporating cutting-edge technologies at Pt Kembla Steelworks.

About the Position:

You will be responsible for overseeing the electrical engineering aspects of this major project, working within the Owners Project Delivery Team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Health, Safety, and Environment: Ensure adherence to HSE standards, company policies, and Australian regulations.
  • Electrical Engineering Coordination: Coordinate internal and external resources for developing scopes of work, technical specifications, and engineering standards.
  • Project Execution: Manage electrical work packages, including development, tendering, and execution.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work with cross-functional project streams to achieve project goals and timelines.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with end users, contractors, and technical personnel.

Essential Qualifications:

Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering and relevant experience in heavy industry projects.

Required Skills:

Proficiency in designing and delivering electrical systems compliant with Australian and international standards. Experience in managing teams and engaging with contractors.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Strong emphasis on health, safety, and environmental responsibilities.

Compensation Package:

This is a 2-year project at Port Kembla Steelworks, providing opportunities for innovation and growth in the steel making industry.
