We are currently seeking a full-time permanent Administrative Support Officer to join our Membership & Engagement team.
About the role
The Administrative Support Officer is responsible for providing organisational and administrative support for the Law Society of NSW Students & Early Career Lawyers team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and organising the student and NSW Young Lawyers event and social calendars.
- Coordinating meeting and event communications, invitations and bookings.
- Assisting with the execution of NSW Young Lawyers meetings both in person and via online platforms.
- Assisting with the management of the multiple social media channels for both NSW Young Lawyers and Student Services.
- Assisting with the maintenance and updating of NSW Young Lawyers and Student Services documents, resources and online webpages as required.
- Responding to general queries received by phone and email through the NSW Young Lawyers and Student Services channels.
- Assisting with student member communications and the maintenance of the student member database and contact information.
- Maintaining and updating contact information and databases for NSW Young Lawyers volunteers and external bodies as appropriate.
- Monitoring and coordinating all relevant collateral.
- Maintaining digital files and folders and collating statistical data on events and meetings to assist with reporting.
- Creating the necessary portals for and running NSW Young Lawyers Sub-Committee elections.
About you
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional social media knowledge and skills.
- Previous (1-2 years) administration experience.
- Good understanding and awareness of the areas of law and issues impacting the profession is desirable.
- Good software skills and ability to quickly learn new programs.
- Ability to work in a small team, as an active and contributing member.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good organisation, planning, and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proof reading.
- Demonstrated computer skills, including strong competency using the Microsoft stack of applications and general proficiency using other data and processing applications.
- Ability to work outside of normal working hours, including some evenings and weekends.
- Confident, professional, motivated and enthusiastic.
- Able to build strong and effective relationships.
- Good work ethic, punctual and reliable.
- Demonstrated ability to be adaptive and accepting of new ideas, and a willingness to approach new challenges.
- Willingness to take on tasks as directed.
- Regulates own behaviour, comprehends organisational structure and culture and acts appropriately in the execution of duties.
