Position Overview

The role of the Assistant Finance Manager is a full-time, permanent opportunity within a dynamic organization focused on delivering exceptional service in the property management sector.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Finance Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and quality of financial services provided to clients. Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the completion of monthly financial reporting processes for designated clients.
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Managing Client Contract Management Fees and ensuring accurate charging.
  • Providing insightful input into monthly and quarterly operational reports.
  • Completing client reporting, including variance analysis and accruals.
  • Supporting Finance Administrators and Accounts Payable/Receivable staff in their daily tasks.
  • Contributing to periodic reporting as required.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls and quality standards within the finance function.
  • Driving continuous improvement in financial processes to enhance service delivery.
  • Providing support to the Finance Manager and Senior Finance Director as needed.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with a strong background in finance, demonstrating a commitment to quality and service excellence. Key qualifications include:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Progress towards professional finance qualifications (CA or CPA) is highly regarded.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex tasks efficiently.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in analytical reporting.

Additional Qualifications

Successful candidates will also possess:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
  • Formal qualifications or progress towards finance-related certifications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for managing client relationships.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and complex challenges.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing diverse deliverables.
  • Innovative thinking and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient analytical and reporting skills, including commentary.
