Job Description

As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to provide comfort, dignity, and support to people when they need it most. You will be involved in a wide range of activities, including:

  • Companionship – friendly social visits with residents, conversations or walks
  • Lifestyle activities – board games, music, craft, art, and social engagement
  • Social outings – accompanying residents on bus trips
  • Gardening – assisting residents with gardening activities
  • Meal times – assisting and supporting residents during meal times

Our volunteers play a vital part in resident care, complementing the care provided by our care staff. By volunteering at Calvary St. Francis, you become part of a legacy built on compassion and service.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You will also need to be able to commit to regular volunteer sessions and be flexible in your approach to providing care and support.
