We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join our Outbound team at our distribution centre in Crestmead, QLD. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, with a focus on motivating and leading a team of staff to achieve daily targets and maintain high standards of quality.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading by example and motivating the team to achieve excellence in all aspects of their work
  • Ensuring staff adhere to all safety and Work Health and Safety (WHS) policies
  • Managing the team effectively to meet the needs of the business, including moving staff into different areas as required
  • Overseeing the packing and picking team to ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) are met
  • Managing the despatch team to ensure safe and efficient wrapping and stacking of pallets
  • Working closely with the supervisor to provide coaching and training to staff
  • Ensuring a customer-first attitude, with a focus on delivering high-quality service and meeting customer expectations
  • Managing staff to ensure they are effective and promoting a positive culture
  • Adjusting daily rosters and staff hours to ensure accuracy of reporting
  • Assisting the business by being flexible with roster and work hours, and helping to cover other Team Lead/Supervisor roles in their absence
  • Working closely with the Customer Experience (CX) team to notify them of any issues related to out-of-stock or delayed orders
  • Providing timely and accurate reporting to support business decisions
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a similar team leader role in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with individuals and in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Safety-focused with general knowledge of WHS policies and procedures
  • High attention to detail and confidence to execute decisions
  • Can-do attitude, reliability, commitment, and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Forklift license desirable
