Job Title:
Heavy Machinery Supervisor
This role involves overseeing and operating heavy equipment in a secure and efficient manner. As a supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring all activities adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
About the Role:
- Leading and supervising teams of operators in various heavy machinery roles
- Maintaining and improving equipment performance and efficiency
- Evaluating staff performance and providing feedback
- Coordinating logistics and resources to achieve project goals
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and regulations.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate team members to achieve project objectives.
- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Logistics and Resource Management: Coordinate material receipt and management, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a leading hand or supervisor in a related industry
- Hold current tickets for multiple machines, preferably including HC, HR, LL, LZ, LF, LE, LR, LS, LB
- Intermediate computer skills
- Valid Victorian driver's license
- Asbestos Identification and Handling Training
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
