Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding Adelaide team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing various quantity surveying functions, including estimating, planning, and cost management, cost monitoring, and accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with clients, architects, and main contractors to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Identify and facilitate new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue.
  • Develop and manage master-plans and feasibility budgets to ensure accurate cost projections.
  • Conduct cost checking of developing designs to ensure compliance with project budgets.
  • Apply value engineering techniques to optimize project costs and improve efficiency.
  • Evaluate tenders and analyze costs to ensure best value for our clients.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients and contractors to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Manage cash flow projects to ensure timely payment and minimize financial risks.
  • Procure materials and services to ensure compliance with project specifications and budgets.
  • Prepare and present cost reports to stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Evaluate variations and valuations to ensure accurate cost assessments.
  • Prepare and negotiate final account reports to ensure fair and accurate settlements.
  • Prepare and present claims to ensure timely and fair resolution of disputes.
  • Analyze investment opportunities to ensure optimal returns on investment.
  • Develop and implement benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy, and efficiency of cost models and plans.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Full Australian working rights and current location in Australia.
  • RICS/AIQS accreditation is highly regarded.
  • Proficient in the use of Cost X.
  • Highly motivated with a passion for delivering excellence to clients.
