Opportunity Overview

Qantas is seeking a skilled Lead Product Designer to lead the end-to-end design of user experiences across the Qantas Book and Manage domain. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering an aligned, cohesive, and frictionless user experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of user experiences across the Qantas Book and Manage domain
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and innovate the book and purchase experience for Qantas customers
  • Employ human-centred design methods and processes to define, design, and deliver industry-leading user experiences
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points throughout their journey
  • Work closely with product owners, managers, service designers, technology, and marketing teams to ensure seamless design and delivery

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a Product Designer or similar hybrid UX/UI design role
  • Tertiary qualification in Design, HCI, Psychology, or relevant tertiary qualification
  • Proven experience leading design initiatives and leading other designers with a collaborative and inclusive approach
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to influence and inform product strategy
  • A strong sense of time management, deadlines, and the ability to adapt diverse challenges and competing priorities
  • A robust portfolio showcasing design process, creative thinking, and solutions to complex design challenges
