About John Holland

We are seeking an experienced Senior Sustainability Advisor to join our team in Canterbury, NSW. Reporting to the Sustainability Manager, the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of sustainability principles and practices. You will be responsible for providing expert advice to the project team and delivering initiatives that enhance our sustainability performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sustainability strategies and plans to achieve project goals
  • Provide technical expertise on sustainability matters, including environmental management and risk assessment
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate sustainability risks
  • Conduct site visits and audits to ensure compliance with sustainability standards
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies and industry partners
  • Monitor and report on key sustainability performance indicators
  • Support the development of sustainability policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as sustainability, environmental science, or engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in sustainability, preferably in the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of sustainability principles and practices, including sustainability rating schemes
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
