The successful candidate will contribute to research focused on the biogeochemical cycling of carbon in the Southern Ocean, with a focus on evaluating changes in biogeochemical cycles and identifying underlying drivers of change. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating changes in biogeochemical cycles using observations and model outputs;
  • Identifying early indicators of tipping points;
  • Participating in field programs, including repeat hydrographic surveys and process studies in the Southern Ocean;

To succeed in this role, you should have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant field, a strong publication record, and experience working with large datasets and model simulations. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including 17% superannuation contribution and access to staff discounts.
