Designing for Water Infrastructure

As a skilled Civil Designer/Drafter, you will play a vital role in creating detailed designs and models for water infrastructure projects. Your expertise will help bring complex ideas to life, ensuring the efficient and effective management of water resources.

With a keen eye for detail and a passion for problem-solving, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed civil drawings and models using relevant software such as Autodesk Civil 3D and Plant 3D.
  • Collaborate with civil engineers to ensure design accuracy and completeness.
  • Support project teams with documentation, revisions, and coordination of drawings/models.
  • Establish and maintain design templates and drawing standards.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in CAD software, including Autodesk Civil 3D and Plant 3D.
  • Experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design.
  • Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of safety in design, constructability, operational practices, and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes.
  • Relevant TAFE qualifications, diploma, or degree in drafting, engineering, or design.
  • Understanding of risk management and the ability to identify project and design-related risks.
  • Commitment to working safely and within the company's HSEQ systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across a multidisciplinary team.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills for engaging with a broad range of audiences.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
