About the Role:

The successful candidate will lead the integration and execution of the project's sustainability strategy – driving key outcomes across carbon reduction, innovation, and value creation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sustainability Strategy and Plan Development: Develop and implement the Sustainability Strategy and Sustainability Management Plan in collaboration with various teams.
  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Manage and mentor the sustainability team to ensure effective performance and growth.
  • Collaboration and Partnership Building: Collaborate with design, construction, and commercial teams to enhance carbon literacy and champion sustainability outcomes.
  • Performance Reporting: Report performance against project sustainability objectives, targets, and our Seeds for Growth strategy.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and clients.

Requirements:

  • Education and Certification: Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Resource Management, or a related field. ISAP accreditation (or equivalent) with experience in delivering an IS rating.
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in sustainability or environmental roles on major infrastructure projects.
  • Leadership and Stakeholder Skills: Demonstrated experience in leading sustainability strategy and compliance within a construction environment. Proven leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement skills.
