Job Description

This is a leadership opportunity to manage a team of engineers delivering end-to-end engineering solutions for critical rail infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a specialist team, providing technical guidance and support to ensure the delivery of asset management strategies across structural assets.

The role requires strong knowledge of structural design principles and relevant Australian standards, as well as demonstrated ability to lead engineering outcomes while influencing stakeholders across maintenance, project delivery, and asset management functions.

The successful candidate will have proven experience leading complex structural engineering work and providing technical guidance to emerging engineers, ideally within rail, transport, or other complex infrastructure environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Essential
    • Proven experience in leading complex structural engineering work and providing technical guidance to emerging engineers.
    • Strong knowledge of structural design principles and relevant Australian standards.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead engineering outcomes while influencing stakeholders.
  • Skills and Experience that Will Help You Thrive
    • Experience working in rail infrastructure or similarly regulated environments.
    • Practical experience in construction or on-site delivery.
    • Understanding of whole-of-life asset management principles.
    • Strong project management capabilities, including task prioritisation and resource coordination.
  • Formal Qualifications
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Structural).
    • Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ).
    • Valid Driver's Licence – travel to various work sites.
